Jule Darling debuted her Woven Gemstones Sculptures in 2003 at the 38th Annual Rhododendron State Outdoor Arts & Craft Festival in Charleston WV, winning an award for Creative Excellence in Beadwork, followed in 2004 by a Fine Arts Award.

Her early work included a 6" woven silver basket with Jade and Aventurine, Good Fortune, framed wall sculpture, jewelry, flowers, dragonflies of WV and a Red-Headed Woodpecker, Rainmaker, which won second place in Lapidary Journal's Bead Arts Awards in 2005.

She also served as the Vice President of Allied Artists of WV from 2005-2007.

A hiatus to care for family turned into a surprisingly long interval.  

Jule is brimming with years worth of ideas, expanding techniques and equipment, and renewed energy for her creative pursuits.
